Mrs. Graziano
My goal is very simple to help your children achieve theirs, both today and in the future. I strive to create a dynamic, inspiring, and comfortable learning environment that promotes original and creative problem solving as we undertake the curricular goals established by the York School Department, the Maine State Learning Results and the National Standards for teaching Social Studies.
Central to each student reaching their full potential is engagement and personalization of the learning. Students regularly make choices about the learning, self reflect, give peers feedback and set attainable goals for themselves to achieve the classroom learning outcomes. A diverse range of assignments and assessments allow students to develop and obtain new skills and improve and perfect existing talents and strengths. Our classroom is interdisciplinary in our approach to social studies topics and we work both independently and collaboratively through traditional and multimedia formats for learning. Specific and descriptive teacher, parent and peer feedback is vital to learning and self improvement.
I actively seek, adapt, design and deliberately incorporate 21st century learning methods whenever these formats expedite, expand or enhance the learning. I look forward to sharing student project work with parents and other audiences throughout the year. I welcome your comments, ideas and observations about your child’s learning experiences at anytime throughout the year.
